Privacy Policy

Handoff is built and supported by a solo developer. The goal is to collect only the information needed to provide the invoicing service and keep it protected.

Information Handoff stores

Handoff stores account information such as your email address, business settings, customers, jobsites, assets, catalog items, invoices, quotes, payment records, and the settings you enter. Feedback messages may include your email address when you choose to provide it.

How information is used

• Provide, secure, support, and improve Handoff.
• Save and restore your invoicing workspace.
• Operate subscriptions, trials, receipts, and account access.
• Investigate bugs, abuse, failed payments, and service reliability problems.

Service providers

Handoff uses Supabase for authentication and cloud data storage, Netlify for website hosting and server functions, and Stripe for subscription billing. These providers process information under their own privacy and security terms. Handoff does not store complete payment-card numbers.

Sharing

Handoff does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate Handoff, when you direct Handoff to do so, or when disclosure is legally required.

Security and backups

Handoff uses authenticated accounts, database row-level access rules, encrypted HTTPS connections, server-only billing credentials, and signed Stripe webhooks. No online service can guarantee perfect security. You can export a JSON backup from Handoff at any time and should keep periodic copies of important business records.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period needed for recovery, security, legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and backup purposes. To request account deletion, use the Feedback / Report a bug button while signed in or the public support form. Some billing and transaction records may need to be retained where required by law.

Your choices

You can review and update your business information, export your data, cancel future subscription renewals through Stripe’s billing portal, and request correction or deletion of your account information.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Handoff changes. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
